  • Part-time, contract position (3-4 hours per month)

Job Description:

We are looking for a self-motivated and organized individual with fantastic communication skills to assist the editor/publishers with various social media duties. This part-time job is flexible and hours can be fulfilled at home and/or in the Crowfoot Media office. As our social media assistant, you are tasked with keeping up some of our ongoing activities on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google Business. You’ll also be part of a fun, dynamic and hard-working team of mountain enthusiasts.

Tasks :

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Curating and promoting partner content on a weekly basis.
  • Curating and scheduling mountain culture event promotions.
  • Maintaining Pinterest boards and posting Crowfoot Media content there.
  • Publishing posts and articles to Google Business.
  • Sundry tasks as needed, depending on upcoming campaigns or events.

Requirements:

  • Based in Banff or Canmore.
  • Some previous knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Phenomenal written/verbal communication skills and professional attitude.
  • Attention to detail, organized and respectful of deadlines.
  • Personal computer and smartphone.
  • Ability to invoice (this is a contract position).

  • Three-month probationary period with possibility of renewal
  • Part-time, contract position (up to 4 hours per week)
  • Banff-based position with weekly shifts in the Crowfoot Media office

Job Description:

Based in Banff, Alberta, Crowfoot Media is a publishing house dedicated to the preservation, celebration and growth of mountain culture in the Canadian Rockies.

Crowfoot Media is currently seeking an Administration/Distribution Assistant who is responsible, mature, independent, highly efficient and organized. As some tasks change weekly, the candidate must be flexible and self-directed and ready to tackle whatever needs doing with a sense of urgency and positive attitude. Access to a personal computer is essential.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing and mailing new subscriptions and merchandise orders
  • Processing new retail/wholesale orders and other magazine distribution outlets
  • General office administration
  • Researching and contacting new circulation outlets
  • Event support
  • Ongoing sundry tasks as per manager’s direction

Remuneration: $15/hour CAD
