WINTERSTOKE 2016 RECAP
+ SEE THE FILMS YOU MISSED!
Hosted by Crowfoot Media + Capow Guiding
A sold-out event two years straight, Winterstoke is an annual pre-season gathering in Banff, Alberta, hosted by Crowfoot Media. Emceed by pro snowboarder/local funnyman Andrew Hardingham, Winterstoke attracts snow sport enthusiasts for a night of beer, the ‘best of’ local ski and snowboard footage, Q&A session with Capow Guiding, prizes and giveaways, and a winter industry trade show. Here’s what went down, in case you missed it!
10% of ticket sales was donated to Avalanche Canada.

Our winners took home big prizes at Winterstoke, including a 2016/17 SkiBig3 Season Pass (Local’s Choice) and a $400 Unlimited Skate and Snow Gift Certificate (Judge’s Choice). The audience didn’t go home empty handed, either: after a night full of giveaways from Jones Snowboards, BCA, Park Distillery, Sunshine Village, Crowfoot Media, Monod Sports, Banff Airporter, Jones Snowboards and Canadian Rocky Mountain Resort.
The first 100 people in the door also took home a swag bag including goods from: SkiBig3, Wild Flour – Banff Artisan Bakery Cafe, Clif Bar, Unlimited Skate and Snow, Banff Sunshine Village, The Banff Tea Company, Monod Sports Ltd, Banff Ave. Brewing Co, Avalanche Canada, Park Distillery Restaurant + Bar and Medicine Hat Meat Traders.
Thanks to our trade show representatives who added to the fun vibes at Winterstoke: Avalanche Canada, Canadian Rockies Annual, K2/BCA, Lake Louise Ski Resort, Monod Sports, Norquay Mountain Resort, Park Distillery, Rave Coffee, Rude Boys Snow & Skate Shop, SkiBig3 and Unlimited Skate and Snow.
Hope to see you all again next year!
